Jewelry Workshop Experience-Couples

• The Experience: Your Jewelry Workshop experience will include a 4-6 hr day in the Jewelry Studio.  We will cater organic lunch, beverages, and provide a fun yet interactive experience in the workshop for just the two of you.  As your personal guide in the jewelry making process, I will carefully explain and show you the details of crafting your rings together or one ring if you choose.  The Exclusive Experience is for you to be able to create rings instead of purchasing it.  Each of you will sit together. create together and enjoy an entire day crafting rings.  This time will be cherished as a beautiful memory for years to come, and by the hand-crafted rings made by you with your special one.

 

• The Workshop: In the Studio you will be working directly in the metal of your choosing.  Crafting directly in the metal is called Fabrication.  You will use a jewelers' torch, saw,  hammers,  forming dies,  polishing equipment, various rotary burs and abrasives to create your bands. In your private workshop you are the only couple for the day.  I will walk you through the entire jewelry making process as you form rings that will last you a lifetime and can become an heirloom piece. 

• The Rings: The design of your rings will be up to you.  Each one is unique by the hands that create it.  Prior to booking the Jewelry Workshop Experience, be sure to explore our design ideas......these include, finger size, width, texture, and finish.  
  
  
  
• Metal Options: You can choose from yellow gold, rose gold, white gold,  platinum,  palladium, or sterling silver.
  
  
  
• Timeline: Bands can be made in about 4-6 hours.  For bands without gems or engraving, couples leave with their rings at the end of their workshop. Rings that have additional elements like gem setting will require custom work on our end beyond your session. Generally these steps will take 1-2 weeks after your workshop.

• Planning your designs: Decide on the basics of your design at least 2 weeks before your workshop, including:
  • Width
  • Shape: half round or flat
  • Type of metal
  • Finger size
  • Texture
  • Finish

Many designs have a minimum width required depending on gem size and other elements.  We will want to be sure that your design ideas and desired ring width are compatible.

• Additional notes:  We are happy to take photos and videos on your device to memorialize your special day. 

Can you do it?  YES YOU CAN!

So many people think that you have to be an artist or craftsman to make your own wedding rings. That is definitely not the case.  People of all walks of life....a nurse, stay at home mom, carpenter, tech, lawyer, logger, librarian, and any other profession will be able to make the rings.  The willingness to learn a new skill and have fun are all that is required to make your beautiful heirloom rings.
