My name is Adam Wegman, and I’m the Owner and Goldsmith at Stone House Jewelry Studio. It’s my pleasure to be providing the Sandpoint Idaho and surrounding area with high quality custom jewelry design and repair. I started my journey in jewelry 18 years ago at a family owned jewelry store in St. Cloud, Minnesota. During those years I learned the fundamentals of jewelry repair, stone setting, and wax carving. I have a degree in machine tool technology and I have worked along side a metal artist where I learned precision and attention to detail working with different metals.
Promoting individuality in unique pieces of jewelry is what I love to do. A flair of Modern/contemporary accented with the beauty of natural flow makes these designs one of a kind. I Love contrast and opposites, how they attract one another in textures, colors, and lines which add intrigue to the designs. I see soft beauty in nature as well as raw and rugged textures. The combination of these two elements collide together and inspire me to make jewelry.
Being creative and artistic requires thinking outside the box. When other jewelers say “it can’t be done”, it inspires me to try even harder to meet your needs. My mission is to glorify God, while blessing others through the work of my hands.

Why the Name? The name "Stone House" originated in Pequot Lakes, Minnesota. We First moved to the area and met a sweet lady named Claire. She was literally the first person we met and worked at this quaint little shop once per year. We just happened to be shopping there that very day. A conversation started and we mentioned our new business (my wife Joanie's salon), and that we were in search of somewhere to rent. Claire then proceeded to tell us a story about the little "Stone House" that her husband had built on their property. It was a bed and breakfast, but had sat vacant since the devastating loss of their daughter to cancer. They hadn't rented the Stone House in years, but had a place in their heart for a young couple trying to start a life together. Craig and Claire decided to give us a shot and rented the Stone House to us. It was a 600 square foot cottage, constructed of river rock and split stone. It was suppose to be temporary, but they allowed us to rent there for two years. During this time I opened my jewelry studio and needed a name. My wife Joanie asked "what about Stone House?" I thought it was a great idea, so we proceeded to ask Craig and Claire if it would be ok to use the name. They gave their blessing to use the name and we have been using it ever since.
Psalm 139:14-16 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.
